The Brown Hare Card

£5.00

My art is inspired by the beautiful landscape of the Peak District and the myths and legends that are woven into its fabric.

Im lucky enough to live in a place where I can watch brown hares box in the sharp cold of a spring evening, the Celts believed the hare was a messenger of the gods, and I often wonder if they have something to tell me.

If you walk these moors for any length of time you will see these wonderful creatures everything about them says speed the leverets are born in nothing more than a scrape on the ground, the weather here can be daunting yet they flourish as much a part of the moor as the peat and heather.

Im fascinated by them and have drawn hundreds of pictures of them well you can never have to many can you ?

(above printed on back of card)
